The database named SS_SRC5 successfully created.

Every once in a while I get an email telling me that a database named SS_SRC5 was created. It could be annoying if it happened a lot, but it doesn’t. I get one about once or twice a month. It’s basically an accident, but back when I was building samples for my SSIS book, I used this email address me@kirkhaselden.com to test all the email samples in the book. Later, before sending the final samples into the publisher, I changed them all to something invalid. Or, so I thought. This one sample slipped through the edits.

So, every once in a while, I’m reminded that I:

  • Make mistakes sometimes when editing samples
  • Wrote a book that was fairly popular with the audience
  • People are still creating sample databases from samples written in 2005.

Cool…
