About a month ago, we received an offer on the old home. It was a deep cut offer that really wasn't worth considering. We counter offered at a reasonable price and even were willing to go a little further, but the people were basically trying to steel the home... The whole thing died down and we didn't have any more action on the home for roughly a month.
We were starting to get worried, but stuck to our guns. We had done a lot of work on the home. Our ward friends joined us and often did some of the very difficult work that we really appreciated. The home looks great with all appliances, some brand new, new water heater and brand new furnace. New carpet and new paint. So, we felt the value was there, but the timing wasn't great between the holiday season, the wind storms and the snow storms. Nobody is interested in house hunting in those conditions.
But lately, the weather has been quite nice and the interest had spiked. Yesterday we received two offers, almost identical. We think that one of the offers is the one and feel pretty confident that we've successfully sold the home. Keep your fingers crossed for us. :)
