Hikes: Source Lake

Source Lake is the place where the South fork of the Snoqualmie river starts. It’s not a very impressive lake itself, because it’s a headwater. But, the surrounding area is quite rugged and beautiful. Hopefully the video gives you some idea. This is the shorter hike on the Snow Lake trail. It’s a great trail and we were rewarded with great views, lots of waterfalls, creak crossings, grand views and a great vista at the top. One of the better hikes I’ve enjoyed this year.

The lovely and always poised Amanda models the banana bandana and the latest in hiking accessories, the walking stave. Amanda is a senior this year and is excited to return to school and score A’s in all her classes!

Yours truly enjoying the view. Pretty breathtaking from here.

And, of course, Toby came along. Can’t figure out if he’s a dog or a bunny…
