Family nights are fun.
Sometimes they're more serious than others. Tonight was one of the less serious as we celebrated Christine's birthday, and mine. After opening presents and giving thank you hugs, and listening to Sarah play twinkle on the piano, we had a lesson.
We each recalled something we remember from general conference.
Sarah said she remembered "the singing".
Jenny rememberd "the singing".
Amanda remembered the prophet talking.
Tyson remembered lots of people talking, but doesn't recall what they said.
Lindsey couldn't quite remember.
I remembered the talk about having integrity at all times.
Christine remembered the prophet's talk about how his life was not his own. And she said how Christ's life was not his own either. This is one more of those, "Yeah, wow, that's really true" moments. All prophet's are a type and shadow of the Saviour.
As we sang "My Heavenly Father Loves Me", Jenny was trying out my new pillows I got for my birthday, Sarah was in the kitchen sneaking banana nut muffins that Tyson made, and Lindsey was taking off her socks.
Right as we finished singing "...beautiful world, Heavenly Father created for me..."
Lindsey throws her sock into Tyson's face and says "Smell them, they don't smell bad at all! Really!"
Family nights are so fun.
