Last year, and the year before, we took our vacation at Brighton, Utah. There's a small cabin there right by the ski slopes. We turn into ski bumbs for a week. It's become our favorite family vacation because it's so flexible. Those that don't want to ski can stay behind and vedge at the cabin while others can go ski. If the weather's bad, we can go back to the cabin and warm up while waiting for better conditions. It's a great vacation and gets our family together for a week of fun. The skiing is great, and the kids love it, even the little ones.
Brighton has one of the best kids ski schools we've ever seen and their bunny slope is just perfect for kids about to learn. Last year, Jenny got into the Blues and even took a black trail once or twice. Sarah is going down the blues now too. Lindsey is a graceful skiier with great form. Tyson likes to scream down the mountain and wait for everyone to catchup. Or, he likes to let us get ahead and then power stop and spray us. Wonder where he got that from...
Amanda is a social skiier and is getting better all the time. Christine has really gotten comfortable with skiing and I'm loving it since I got my new i.M 85 skis with intelligent technology for my last birthday. Thanks Christine! :)
This link takes you to a short video showing Sarah and Jenny skiing the white stuff. Some of the other family are in there too. We look forward to this vacation every year now. It's the highlight of the winter season.
