Inspired by a recent lesson (thanks Rus), I’ve started a new personal blog. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time. I’ve had a professional blog for some time now, but just haven’t taken the time to get my personal one started. I found a great service that google provides that makes it possible to build the blog on blogger but post to my own website on KirkHaselden.com. This is such a great way to store all those pictures and memories that in the past I’ve just saved on a CD somewhere.Currently, the blogs are a bit out of chronological order because I’ve been trying to catch up a bit on some things that have been happening lately. I’ve got oodles of pictures that I want to get up here and a bunch of old pictures from family that I want to restore. I’ll post those as time allows as well.
Basically, if you want to keep up with what’s happening in our lives, this will be a great way to do it. I’m also hoping that it can be a cherished record for future generations. Unlike my journal, it has the virtue of being legible and available across the blogosphere.
